History of the Duckworth Family

Alexander Padian DUCKWORTH was born in March, 1801 in North Carolina and died on May 20,1867 in Fannin County, Texas. He married Jensie Jane "Giney" HODGE about 1820 in Lincoln County, Tennessee. Jensie was born in 1803 in North Carolina and died on December 8, 1883 in Fannin County, Texas. There were at least 9 children born to the couple, including:


Andrew Jackson DUCKWORTH was born on November 10,1832 Bond County, IL and died on March 25, 1909 in Fannin County, Texas. He married Margaret Elizabeth (Martha) GILLISPIE on December 23, 1854 in Fannin County, Texas. Martha was born on June 15,1837 in Alabama and died on March 1 1890 in Fannin County, Texas. This couple had at least 4 children, including:


James Alexander DUCKWORTH was born on December 11,1855 in Fannin County, Texas and died on March 1950 in Denison in Grayson County, Texas. He married Nancy Arizona TIDWELL on November 26, 1876 in Savoy in Fannin County, Texas. She was born on January 31, 1860 in Burns in Dickson County, Tennessee and died on November 29,1942 in Loving in Young County,Texas. This couple had at least 12 children, including:


Lee Edward Clark DUCKWORTH was born March 22,1884 in Ravenna in Fannin County, Texas and died on August 19, 1948 in Abilene in Taylor County, Texas. He married Eula PRATT on October 24, 1907 in Ivan in Stephens County, Texas. Eula was born on November 28, 1885 in Eliasville in Young County,Texas and died on February 16, 1970 in Abilene in Taylor County,Texas. They had 5 daughters.
