!NOTES: Abilene Reporter News, Page 5 April 5, 1932: "Laverne Duckworth is Bride of G. D. West of Raymondville. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Duckworth and daughters Misses Irene, Estelle, and Joe Bill, have returned from San Antonio where the oldest daughter of the couple, Miss Laverne Duckworth was married Sunday to G. D. West of Raymondville. The wedding took place at 8:30 in the morning in the home of A. H. Clark, minister of the Church of Christ, and Mrs. Clark with Mr. Clark officiating. The bride was wearing a frock of blue crepe with accessories in white. Folowing her graduation from Breckenridge high school, Miss Duckworth entered Abilene Christian College. She was graduated from ACC and during her senior year there served as secretary for the "W" club, honor organization for women. For the past year and a half she has taught school in Stanton. The couple will live in Raymondville, where Mr. West is engaged in the insurance business."
