!NOTES: On the 1920 Census Jo Bill is named Josie Marie Duckworth. Jo Bill tells me that her grandfather wanted her name to be Jo Bill and that Estelle called her Jo Bill. They did not fill in a birth certificate for a while and by the time they did the birth certificate, it was Jo Bill.

!NOTES: Abilene Report News:"Joe Bill Duckworth, duaghter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Duckworth, 1019 Hickory, was married on Saturday afternoon to Arvin R. White, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nath White, 633 East North 15th. The ceremony was read by W. R. Smith, member of the faculty of Abilene Christian College, before a mantel decorated with a large fan-shaped arrangement of peach gladioluses. Only members of the family were present. The bride wore a two piece suit of powder blue wool with black accessories and an orchid corsage. For a short wedding trip to San Angelo, she wore a blue top coat over her bridal suit. Mrs. White is a graduate of Abilene High School and both she and Mr. White graduated from Abielen Christian College in 1939. For the past one and one half year she has acted as assistant to Dr. Joe A. Kennedy. White received his discharge from the Army in December after serving four years. He was mathematic instructor for Air Force cadets training at Kelly Field. He is now the acting manager of the local Retail Credit association. The couple will wilve at 350 Peach." Sunday, February 10, 1946.

!NOTES: In Jo Bill's senior year in Abilene High School, she was the editor of the school annual. While attending Abilene Christian College, Jo Bill was a member of the GATA Social Club. In her senior year she was vice president of Alpha Chi, vice president of the "W" Club, president of the Kitten Club, and was named to Who's Who in American Colleges.
