!NOTES: Obit for Roselee Kerdolff Ennis August 14, 1997 in Kansas City Star: "Roselee Kerdolff Ennis, 78, a lifelong resident of Kansas City, died August 6, 1997, at the home. The Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 15, at the Second Presbyterian Church 55th and Oak. Private burial in Forest Hill Cemetery. In liu of flowers, the family suggest donations to the Pembroke Hill Middle School History Library. Mrs. Ennis was the daughter of Rhoda Ethel Rose and George William Kerdolff. Roselee graduated from Sunset Hight School with the Class of 1936, and graduated from Goucher College in 1940 where she was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. She was married to William H. Ennis on July 5, 1942. Roselee was a exceptionally dedicated teacher, beginning her career in the Kansas City school system, taught at Country Day School of St. Louis from 1942 to 1943, and from 1943 to 1981 taught at Sunset High School, where she was the American history teacher. At the time of her retirement sh was Assistant Head Mistress and head of the Middle School. She was a co-author of a concise and accurate history of Sunset Hill School. She was co-founder of the Blind Nursery, now known as the Children's Center for the Visually Impaired. She was active in the Kansas City, Missouri Junior League and the WIGS (Women's Investment Group). Roselee was a talented artist who enjoyed creating beautiful works with thread and paint. She was an avid gardner, who enjoyed sharing her love of flowers with her friends. She is survived by her husband, William H. Ennis, the home; her daughter, Margaret Ann Hauber; her son, William Claiborn Ennis; three grandsons, Newman Ross Donnell IV, Ian Foster and William Blaine Ennis; one graddaughter, Erin Ennis Donnell; one great-grandson, Austin Tyler Donnell; her sister, Kathryn Koslowski; and her sister-in-law, Joan Kerdolff.
