Notes

Letter exists which was written from Ewen to Duncan McLaurin, his brother. He wrote from Straithaird, Isle of Skye, Scotland to his brother Duncan (Bch). He was apparently unmarried and spoke of wanting to come to America. Later Ewen came to America after 1804 and was in NC in 1836. No records have been found of his marriage, descendants, or death.
