!NOTE: Information is in Deed 28-07 in Logan Co, KY and suit 1399 filed 18 July 1842 in Logan county, KY indicates that in 1842 Anthony resided in Alabama.

!NOTES: Anthony Smith got his first land patent in Autauga County, Alabama on December 3, 1821. The certificate from the Bureau of Land Management states: "Whereas Anthony Smith of Logan County Kentucky has deposited in the General Land office of the United States, a certificate ... etc." This certificate is number 239 in the Land Office in Cahaba, Alabama. This is the first record of Anthony being in Alabama. He received 4 other tracks of land from the US Government in Autauga county, Alabama. Two of these land patents list him as Anthony Smith of Logan County, Kentucky, document 239 in 1821 and document 484 on October 1, 1823. The next patent is on September 19, 1835 and he is listed as "Anthony Smith of Autauga County, Alabama." It's possible that the family did not move to this land until the 1835 timeframe. There is another land patent for Joseph Smith in Marengo County on September 28, 1835. It's possible that Anthony and Joseph SMITH moved to Alabama at the same time in 1835.
