Bob and Linda both completed their High School education in San Antonio. Bob went to Abilene Christian College and Trinity University, majoring in marketing. He was employed by Hopp's T. V. and Appliance Company, one of the largest appliance retailers in San Antonio from 20 years - from 1963 to 1983. During the last 8 years of this time he was president of the company. When the Hopps family divested of the business, Bob was denied and opportunity to buy it as was promised. Bob is an excellent salesman and business man and has been connected with home appliance sales business all his adult life. He was sales representative for Carrier Corporation covering South Texas out of San Antonio. We was sales manager for a wholesale appliance dealer for several years. He drives great distances covering an area from Central Texas to the Rio Grande Valley. Linda worked, for a time, for the City Public Service Board of San Antonio. She has taught painting (art) for many years. She owned a very successful Art Show annually for ten years in San Antonio. She and daughter, Jennifer own and operate a home-based craft and gift business. Bob jogs regularly and is an excellent tennis player. He, and all his family enjoy downhill skiing and make frequent trips to Colorado to peruse this sport.
