!NOTE: Diaries of Rev. George R. Browder records the following: "May 1863, Thos Gilbert was put under $5,000 bond, accused of disloyality. Almeta, dau. of K.C. Mason, dec'd, arrested for harboring her brother in the Rebel Army, was detained for a week in Russellville and then sent to Gen. Burnside for further orders. June 1863 Almeta Mason was sentenced to the Military prison at Johnson's Island to be confined during the war for writing a letter to her brother in the Rebel Army." Isaac Gilbert Mason was her brother. Information found in Kin Hunters, vol 5, page 18, Jan 1991 in Logan Co, KY.
