!BIRTH: 1850 and 1860 Census of Fannin county, TX. In the 1870 Census of Fannin county, TX, Jane is living with John Duckworth and is age 62 and born in North Carolina. She still has Malina Duckwork, female, 21, living with her. (Malima is Malina who married Daniel Cope) Also, pictures of the tombstone in Carson Cemetery. The 1880 Census has Jinsie living with Dan Cope and his wife Malina. The 1880 Census indicates that Jane's parents were both born in North Carolina.

!DEATH: Duckworth family records and pictures of the tombstone. Buried in Carson Cemetery in Fannin county, TX. Tombstone reads: "Jane; wife of A. P. Duckworth; Died Dec 8 1883; age 80 years"

!NOTES: Probably married in Lincoln County, TN. There are several different versions of her name. The 1850 Census and 1870 Census list her as Jane. The 1880 Census lists her as Jensie. Other spellings include Gincy and Giney and Ginsy.

!NOTES: Jane Hodge had a sister named Mary Hodge who became the second wife of a P. F. Lewark in Illinois. There are a series of "Lewark" letters that are available in the Dallas, Texas public library between P. F. Lewark and the Duckworth family in Texas.
