!NOTES: Obit for Elvy Duckworth in Lubbock Avalanche Journal Feb 24th, 1982: "Post (Special) - Services for Elvy Duckworth, 94, of Justiceburg will be at 10 A.M. today at the Church of God of Prophecy of Post with Bishop Leroy Parker of Abilene officiating, assisted by the Rev. Oscar Newdigger of Lubbock and Kenneth Cook of Post. Burial will be in Terrace Cemetery in Post under the direction of Hundman Funeral Home of Post. Mrs. Duckworth died shortly after midnight Tuesday in St. Mary of the Plains Hospital in Lubbock. She was a native of Colorado City. She was believed to have been the oldest person in Garza Count, where she has lived sing 1894. She married George Duckworth in Post in 1908. He died in 1965. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Florence Cross of Lubbock and Dude McLaurin of Justiceburg; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren."
