!NOTES: Obit in Sherman Democrat, July 20, 1959: "Fannin Man Dies At Church Service, Rites Set Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Wise Funeral Chapel for Walice L. Duckworth, 81, of Bonham who died at the Church of Christa here about 10:45 a.m. Sunday after he arrived for the morning service. Frank Duckworth of Fort Worth and Lowell Head of Ada, OK, ministers of the Church of Christ, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Carson Cemetery. Mr. Duckworth was born Jan 26, 1878 in Fannin County, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Jasper Duckworth. On March 12, 1905 he married Nona Belle Barrett in the Fairview Community, near Bonham. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors are his wife; three sons, C. A. Duckworth of Los Angeles, CA; Claude Duckworth of Dallas, and W. J. Duckworth of Bonham; four daughters, Mrs. Jewel Edens of Bells, Mrs. Goldie Booher of Sherman, Mrs. Lois Marshall, and Miss Ruby Duckworth, both of Dallas; one brother, Henry Duckworth of Fort Stockton, OK; two sisters Mrs. Mattie Harris of Gunter and Mrs Nodle Kidd of Durant, OK; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild."
