!DEATH: Tombstone in Oakwood Cemetery in Forth Worth Texas.

!NOTES: George Washington is first listed in the 1850 Rusk County, Texas census with Mary and trhee sons, Aaron Brown, William J. and Abner L. The family moved to Texas from Marion County, TN in the spring of 1846.

!NOTES: George entered the Confederate Army in the spring of 1864, in Co. F. 16th Texas Cavalry, and served until the close of the war. He filed for Confederate Pension with the state of Texas # 3792. After his death, Mary filed Confederate Pension # 9511.
