!He graduated fron North Texas State University in Denton and began his work as a high school coach in his hometown of Graham, Texas. Later he coached at Alvord, Texas, and Decatur. He then worked as an accountant for an oil company in Ft. Worth. From there he accepted a faculty position in the School of Business and Accounting at Arlington State University in Arlington, Texas. He retired in 1989.
