!NOTES: Obituary in Lubbock Avalanche-Journal 2/18/95: "Lewis Duckworth, VERNON - Services for Lewis P. Duckworth, 88, of Chillicothe will be at 11 AM, Monday in Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wallace Clay of Chillicothe officiating. Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery. Duckworth died Friday, Feb. 17, 1995, at his residence. He was born Dec. 25, 1906, in Fannin County. He married Estelene Owensby. He was a Baptist. He was a Farmer. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Larry A. of Chillicothe, David L. of Odelli, and Joe A. of Oklahoma City; three daughters, Sandra Duckworth Allison and Linda Duckworth Draper, both of Plano, and Julia Duckworth Pruitt of Quanah; three brothers, Joe Raymond of Amarillo, Woodrow of Lubbock, and Agnew of Waco; a sister, Zula Usery of Bowie; and 11 grandchildren."

Duckworth was born December 25, 1906 in Ivanhoe, Fannin County, Texas, a son of the late Joseph A. and Laura Bell Riddings Duckworth. He was married to Estelene Owensby on Dec. 26, 1936 in Tolbert, Texas. He had lived in White City and Odell for 54 years before moving to Chillichthe. He was a farmer and a member of the Baptist church. Suvivors include his wife, of Chillicothe; three daughters, Sandra Allison and Linda Draper, both of Plano, and Julia Pruitt of Quanah; three sons, Larry A. Duckworth of Chillicothe, David L. Duckworth of Odell, and Joe A. Duckworth of Oklahoma City; three brothers, Joe Raymond Duckworth of Amarillo, Woodrow Duckworth of Lubbock, and Agnew Duckworth of Waco; a sister, Zula Usery of Bowie; and 11 grandchildren."
