!NOTES: Mrs. C. B. Smith is listed in the children of D. G. Dalton in the 1914 obit of Daniel's death in the Cleburne Daily Enterprise paper. She was living in Muskogee, OK at that time. Meta Dalton's Bible has her in Tulsa, OK.
!NOTES: Obit - source unknown: "Rites Set Today for Mary Smith. Wife of Former Muskogee Educator Died Friday. Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Smith, 88, of 1006 N. Denver ave., who died at Comfort, Tex., Friday, will be held here at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of the Coulter funeral home. Burial will be in the Rose Hill cemetery. A Tulsan for 30 years, she was the widow of Charles B. Smith, grade school principal at Muskogee from 1904 until 1921. Mrs. Smith taught music in public schools, in Texas before moving to Muskogee. In recent years, she had lived here with a daughter, Mrs. C. R. Gilmore. She was spending the winter with a friend in Comfort at the time of her death. She was a member of the Boston Avenue Methodist church here. Also surviving are two other daughters, Mrs. John Brummer Jr. Minneapolis, Minn. and Mrs. Ruth Binson, Santa Fe, N.M.; a son Charles B. Smith, Corpus Christi, Texas; three sisters,Mrs. Gene Hornbuckle, Cleburne, Tex.; Mrs Robert Hardcastle, Houston, and Mrs. S. P. Weaver, Waxahatchie (sp), Tex.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren."
