"Pat" grew up in San Antonio and, after graduating from Jefferson High School, she attended Texas Christian University at Ft. Worth. "Bob" also graduated from Jefferson High and attended T. C. U. However, because of the 5-year difference in their ages, they were not especially attracted to each other. Bob attended U. of Texas at Houston for a year before entering the Air Force for four years. When he returned to U. of Texas, Pat was a Junior at Texas Christian University. They started dating in the summer of 1955 and neither ever dated anyone else after that. After marriage they lived in San Antonio until Bob received his Degree in Engineering. Then they moved to Florida where Bob worked for the space program at Cape Canaveral. After 18 menthe, they moved to Dallas where he worked for Texas Instruments. Then to Milwaukee for a year before returning to and Kelly Air Force Base. Bob worked at Kelly for 30 years. From 1966 to 1969 they were with the Air Force in Weisbaden, Germany where Bob was in charge of relocating electronic from France to various places throughout Europe. They moved to La Coste, near Kelly Air Force Base, in 1979 and Bob retired in 1987. He is still an engineering consultant for a San Antonio firm (1989). Past taught school for a year, including a year at the Defense Language School at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. She has fond memories of visiting her grandparents at the Milam ranch, on the Nueces river west of Uvalde. She enjoys gardening, canning, quilting, gourmet cooking, all kinds of hand work, bridge and politics. Besides engineering, Bob is a private pilot and enjoys computers, gardening, wine making and woodworking. He plays piano, guitar and mandolin. He is making a violin, that he will learn to play. They both enjoy fishing and skiing and hope to spend 6 months of each year at the cabin they built on their property in Colorado. They live in La Coste, Texas and are members of the Christian church.
