Graduated from Texas A. & M. with degree in Entomology. Spent a short time with a company that shipped honey to England, but most of his adult life was spent working in the Entomology Dept. of Texas A. & M. He was editor of a newsletter for Texas Beekeepers Association for many years. After the death of his wife, he and brother, Ervin (Nook) were living together on the Guadalupe River near Victoria and were caught in a large flood. "Nook" was saved but Claude lost his life by drowning. No Children.
