!DEATH: Probate records in Fannin county, TX. He signed his will on June 26, 1876 and was deceased by November 20th 1876 per court records.
!NOTES: Probate records for Ambrose Ford Estate, Thursday Nov 23, 1876: "Know all men by their presents that I Ambrose Ford of the county of Fannin, State of Texas being in ill health and of sounds and desposing mind and memory do make public this my last will and testament hereby revolking all former wills heretofore made by me and as to my worldly estate and all the property - real, personal or mixed of which I shall posses or which I shall be entitled to at the time of my decease, I here bequeath and dispose of in the following manner to wit. 1st, I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife, Lucy Ford all my house hold furniture, my horses, cattle, stock, tools and implements, together with all debts that may be due or owing to me, and all of my personal property of every description, whatsoever. I also give and bequeath to her all the lands and real estate owned by me at the time of my demise together with all the imporvements and ??? ... being one hundred and ninty-five acres of the A. Horton survey on which I now reside to have and to hold the same to her demise of her natural life. 2. I give and bequeath to William R. Ford my son Eighty Nine and 1/2 acres of Land owned by me of the Nancy Grooms survey it being all that he can ever be entitled to out of any part of my estates either real or personal which may now or any time after be owned by me. 3. I will and bequeath and give to my son James B Ford the sum of one dollar in cash to be paid by my executor out of the money that said James B. Ford owes me whenever he pays my said executor the same or any part of the amount he is due me the sum of one dollar being all that he is or ever can be entitled to out of my any part of my real or personal property. 4. I give, will, and bequeath to my beloved children here after named and these heirs an equal share of all my real and personal property of which I may possess at the time of my demise of my beloved wife Lucy Ford. It is my Will and wish that after the demise of my beloved Wife Lucy Ford all the property that is ??? give to her shall be equally divided between my daughter Jane H. Howard, Elizabeth Hoffman, Laura A Pierce, Jogacy H. McKinney, Martha Allen heirs, Lucy H Duckworth and the heirs of Frances D. Ford and I wish and that within twelve months after the death of my beloved wife the above mentioned children and their heirs or legal representatives divide among themselves the homestead land above described so that Lucy A. Duckworth gets her part East of and joining other land now owned by her and her husband. I being under promise to let her have it at my death and lastly I nominate and appoint my beloved Wife Lucy Ford the executor of this my last Will and Testament, during her natural life and after her decease I nominate and appoint Wm J. Duckworth as my executor to execute and carry out the provisions of this Will and Testament adn it is my wish and will that neither of them sha be required to give Bond, but all their officail acts shall be binding and legal. In testomony where of I, the said Ambrose Ford, have signed my name and affixed my seal this 26th day of June AD 1876." Other information has Elizabeth married to a Fulton.
