!NOTES: Obit: (paper and date unknown but probably from local paper in Eden, Texas): "G.E. Duckworth, 82, Dies Wednesday; Rites to be held here today. George E. Duckworth, 82, resident of the Eden community since 1909, died yesterday afternoon, August 2, at about 4:30, at the home of his son, Joe Duckworth in Eden. Funeral arrangements were not completed at the time of going to press, but tentatively were set for this afternoon at four o'clock, at the Day-Loveless Funeral Home Chapel with A. C. Knight, Minister of the Brady Street Church of Christ conducting. Deceased was brong September 13, 1861, in Fannin County, Texas. He lived there until maturity and married Miss Della Holt in that county. Later, the family moved to Pontotoc, and from there to Eden in 1909. Mrs. Duckworth died here on Jan 1, 1932. Eight of the nine children born to her are still alive. They are Mrs. T. B. Baygent of Pecos; Elbert, Clive and Joe Duckworth of Eden; Jim Duckworth of Kansas City, MO; Mrs. Alex Largetn of Sulphur Springs, AR; Mrs Gus Dubose of Crowley, LA; and Mrs. Frank Wren of Fort WOrth. Carl Duckworth died here in 1910. Other immediate servivors are a brother, Jim at Loving, Texas, and two sisters, mone living in Bonham and another in Houston, but with who he had been our of touch for several years. An unusualy in this respect is that our of a family four, he was the first to died, and all are between 80 and 90 years of age. Mr. Duckworth had been in notablely in failing health for two or three years, and suffered a haeart attach on Jan 8th, last, from which he was unable to recover. However, he had been confined to his bed only about a month. Deceased was a member of the Church of Christ and the W.O.W. fraternity, which grup will be represented at the burial."
